A. Planning
1. The following flowchart suggests that it may be preferable to consider the overall needs of the user and to agree these before considering more specific needs in consultation with the supplier of the system.
2. We enable the planning of an installation and ensure that the design yields a suitable solution the Company should capture as much information as possible from the client.
3. A threat, vulnerability and risk assessment is performed to ensure the design of the system results in an installation that adequately addresses the threats and reduces the security risks.
B. Assessment & Installation
1. Next, establishing operational requirements are documented to clearly define the needs and expectations of the client. These include:
- Activity to be captured
- Period of anticipated operation / usage
- Site Conditions
- Image storage and monitoring requirements
- Training for different elements of the system
- Planned or possible future expansions to the system, including addition of further cameras, monitoring locations and integration with other systems.
2. Specific consideration is given to installations in areas of extreme heat or extreme cold in order to ensure that these factors have no adverse effect on system operations.
3. We consider the use of a surveillance camera system and take into consideration its effect on individuals and their privacy, with regular reviews to ensure its use remains justified and that it is in line with all laws introduced by local government.
4. During system design and equipment selection, we consider the specification of individual components and the compatibility and performance of components used in conjunction with one another.
5. Post a thorough analysis of the above, the right equipment is evaluated and installed for specific customer needs.
6. We further inspect & test of the installed system. We ensure the system is installed in strict accordance with the agreed specification and that the standard of workmanship is high along with lifetime maintenance of our installed surveillance systems.
C. Documentation
A handover is completed with the complete demonstration of the system, its safety precautions, correct documentation (operated, adjustments & maintenance) and training to the user and the subsequent acceptance of the installation by the customer.
Documentation also includes handover of all invoices and delivery challans to the customer.
D. Maintain & Conserve
Effective and regular maintenance of Emegatron surveillance systems is essential to ensure that the system remains reliable at all times. A maintenance agreement between Emegatron and the user of the CCTV system includes the following:
- Preventative maintenance visits - Planned servicing of a system, carried out on a scheduled basis.
- Corrective maintenance - Emergency servicing of a system, or part thereof, carried out in response to the development of a fault.
- User maintenance - Basic responsibility of the user to maintain operation of the surveillance system.
A preventive maintenance report is updated to enable hassle free maintenance and use of installed equipment.
E. Review of operational needs
Emegatron recommends the system owner to conduct a review at regular intervals not exceeding 12 months to:
- Ensure any changes in the operational requirements of the surveillance system are identified.
- Identify any system improvements that could enhance the system’s ability to fulfil the operational requirements.
